Public Authorities: the computer security is a priority, but specialization lacks

NetworkDigital4, in joint venture with RSA has conducted a survey on a sample of 300 Public Authorities and 200 Italian Big Companies. The issue was “The Computer Security”: some interesting data were disclosed as the risk perception and main sources is shared. Managers of both the two samples are agreed to recognize Mails, Mobiles and Software Applications as respectively the first, second and third, the most vulnerable areas of their security. Even if the rules which protect data integrity are imposing a such high level of specialization that is forcing Companies to use outsourcing partners, nevertheless, only 1 Public Authorities out of 3 manages security with outsourcing partners. This finding confirms that, mainly in the Public Sector, Computer security can be improved.
